Wopila is a word I learned from a man with a sign on the street. I asked him what it meant and he said “Many Thanks”. I looked it up further and I found that it is Lakota for “thanks given for all of existence and the blessing inherent in each moment of it.” Often used in ceremony, and as a broad statement of thanks within a community.
